Tadao Ando
During the course “Typography II” Michael Lutterschmied, Manuel Reischer and I developed a layout concept to create a short magazine about the Japanese architect Tadao Ando. In his architecture a clear correlation to the extended use of whitespace is noticeable. Needless to say that we wanted our layout to reflect that.

We developed a grid system with a heavy emphasis on columns. As a reference to traditional Japanese lettering. (top to bottom) I had the pleasure to design the cover and I was responsible for the grid system. Each of our team did the layout of one chapter. Manuel and Michael focused on colors and type during the concept phase.
